Midsummer -- Southern Kalimdor Routing

Been a rough two weeks and I finally got a chance to run through the guide. Did one toon Friday following the guide. Did another yesterday and a third this morning. The last two I changed the order for So Kalimdor and I think it took 20 minutes or so off the run time.

The guide has us fly between Thalanaar and Silithus (twice I think once out, once back) and since there's no direct flight route it swings through Feathermoon.

Everything is the same until Feathermoon then my route is shown
Feathermoon --> Silithus (fly)
Silithus --> Gadgetzan (fly)
Gadgetzan --> Thalanaar (fly)
Thalanaar --> horde fire Feralas (run)
Horde fire Feralas --> horde fire Thousand Needles (run)
Horde fire Thousand Needles --> Thalanaar (run)
Thalanaar --> Theramore Isle (fly)
I picked the guide back up at Theramore for the last few Kalimdor stops.

Too late to change things for this year, but something to possibly keep in mind either for next year or for the next world event that requires Southern Kalimdor stops.

I had seen this but was thinking a slightly different path would be quicker. Maybe you'd like to test them both out to see which one is really faster.

Way I see it these are the differences between my route suggestion and yours. All other routings (i.e., Thalanaar -> horde Feralas) are covered in both our routes.

Gadgetzan -> Theramore (fly)

I'll time mine out with my warrior and a high speed ground mount (no Paladin with Crusador aura).

Used a stopwatch -- looks like my route saved me 10 minutes over the guide (seemed like more), yours would save 5 minutes.

Nice to see some hard numbers there. I hadn't had a chance to try to test your pathing, just was going off of memory for what I noticed from the odd flight paths that WoW uses.
