I was just cruising along with the guide and got to Step 40..Go to 51,47 in Durotar and desecrate Horde bonfire. Problem is there is nothing there at that location..I walked all around area looking but couldnt find. So I skipped to next step which is to go to Ogrimmer. But the flame for that step is not there as well. Probably because I didnt complete prior step. Anyone else have this issue on step 40.

I had the same thing but I think this is a Blizzard server problem and not the guide problem. If you take notice there are no mobs anywhere in Durotar, not even guards or NPCs in Razor Hill right beside the step 40 location.
That was this morning for me, now that I'm awake I plan on logging back in to see if that zone has been fixed.

Actually, it may be because you've started the Wrath gate questline in Dragonblight, but never finished it. Once you finished that quest line (the long annoying quest to take back Undercity), then you will see mobs in Durotar and Orgrimmar again.
Here are links to The Battle For The Undercity quests:
Alliance - http://www.wowhead.com/quest=13377
Horde - http://www.wowhead.com/quest=13267

Hmm, maybe. I'll have to look at my quest log to see but I thought I had done everything in Dragonblight.

This is not Dragonblight, Is Eastern Kingdoms Flame Warden Run, Honor the flame and desecrate Flame run. so that why i wonderd about the fly part to IF

Type this into your chat in this order:
1. When you login, copy and paste this into your chat (remove the quotes), then press enter:
"/run QueryQuestsCompleted()"
2. Wait about 1 minute (sometimes it takes the WoW server a little bit to actually return your list of completed quests you just requested. After 1 minute, copy and paste either of the following (depending if you're Horde of Alliance) into your chat (remove the quotes), then press enter:
For Alliance: "/run print(GetQuestsCompleted()[13377])"
For Horde: "/run print(GetQuestsCompleted()[13267])"
You will get one of two messages output into your chat window: "nil" or "true".
If you see "nil" output into your chat, that means you have not completed the Battle For The Undercity quest, and more than likely that is the problem causing you to not see any mobs in Durotar or Ironforge.
If you see "true", then you have completed the Battle For The Undercity quest, in which case I'm not sure why you wouldn't see mobs in Durotar and Ironforge. If this is the case, I would recommend contacting a GM.
However, I have a hunch it's because you have not completed that quest.
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.

And just to clarify here, if you have started the questline Zygor mentions but haven't finished it, these zones will be phased and you will not see enemy NPCs or other players.
I remember walking through Tirisfal wondering where all the mobs were, and actually went through an eerily-empty Undercity. I had to message a GM to find out what was going on - I couldn't even see my guildies who were with me (although we could see other on the minimap when we were in a party).

Step #41. Go to Orgrimmar. I went to Orgrimmar, and this never changes in the guide.
I manually selected step #42 and am working my way toward the flame but am not sure if it will be there when I get there.
Is there something I should be doing? Anyone?:o

Oh, and I don't have the "Flame of Ogrimmar" in my bags that I am suppose to click on.

Yep, this seems to be the case. I get a true for the first quest in the chain but nil for the rest of them. Looks like I'll have to run to SW to get the 2nd quest in the chain and finish it off.
I've only been following the guide, so I wonder why the guide would have me start this so many levels ago and never have me finish it?

I don't know - I was sure I was following the guide as well, but it could have been I got bored of a certain quest and skipped ahead. However since it wasn't difficult to complete when it did come to do so (after prompting from the GM), I don't know what happened.
It was cool to walk through Undercity as a Nelf unscathed, though :)

must admit I'm stuck on the "go to Orgimmar" part of the midsummer festival. Not because I can't, but because I was accidentally pvp flagged and didn't realise.. and got skanked by a player.
and I'm only lvl 70 - exactly how far in *is* this darn bonfire, and do you think I stand a snowball's chance in a very hot place?

you may want to go into /trade and see if there is an 80 or 2 that can help you out. Or wait until there are very few players on your realm.

You get flagged once you start stepping foot in any major city of the opposing faction.Also when you desecrate the opposing faction's fires you also get flagged.I suggest for Org to go in from the Barrens as there is less players that way and you have a straight shot to the fire.So far this was the only place that I died as there was 4-5 80's standing around the fire and just me.

I just ran a level 25 alt of mine to that location near razor hill and the fire festival tent was there and NPC's all around razor hill. This char has NOT completed above mentioned undercity quests. But still the tent was there. I log back to my main and tent is not there nor are there mobs in Razor hill. There are other animal npc's wandering about tho. This is just wierd. Maybe i wont be finishing fire festival.

The npcs will only not be there if you have started the Battle For The Undercity quest chain, but never finished it. If you have never started the chain, the npcs will be there, and if you've started and finished the chain, the npcs will be there.

I'm having a similar problem, I did the flame of Orgrimmar and such with no problem at all but now I'm at step 96, Desecrating the Badland's fire. I've searched all around the hill that the guide takes me to, and even tried to see if I could find a way to the top of it, to no avail. All I'm seeing are some "Murdalocs" and a torn tent, I checked the achievement list to see if maybe it was taken out since the last Midsummer Festival and it says that "Badlands" is still part of the achievement. Can someone please help me ASAP please, I'm wanting to hurry and get this done. :P

Okay, problem solved. The coordinates are off, I'm not sure exactly what they are, but the fire is up in the Northwest corner near Kargath.

step 96 lists the coordinates as 50, 56 when it should be 4, 50

Had a guildmate last night who couldn't see anything at that location but insisted the only unfinished quests in his log were dailies and AGT ones. Would he have this problem if he'd once started that quest but abandoned it?

I too didn't have any of those quests (of the 4 for this series) in my log. I had done the first one in the chain in Dragonblight and completed it without doing any of the rest in the chain. If he has done 'Reborn From the Ashes' (Alliance) or 'Darkness Stirs' (Horde) but never completed the other quests in the chain then he'll be in the same situation where the NPCs aren't there. Give him the appropriate faction WoWHead link that's on the first page of this thread and tell him to finish the chain starting from the 2nd quest in the chain.

We will add the rest of this quest chain in a guide update soon. Seems very much needed now. Sorry for the confusion. :-)

Just to let you know using the free trial of the dailies guide, in particular the Midsummer Festival Guide.
Once you get to the Badlands after the pass it takes you to a complete different area to where the Horde Bonfire is.
The guide tells you to go to 50.65, when actually the Bonfire is outside Kargath.
Sorry cant give you the precise co-ords but its about 1100 yds short of where the guide say to go

Thanks for reporting, this will be fixed in the next update. Looks like we fixed the error in the full version of the guide, but not the trial. :-)
