Hello,

As some of you already know, we've recently had a problem with our update system, which has prolonged the release of the Midsummer Fire Festival event guide. Instead of finishing up the Midsummer guide, we've been hard at work fixing the update system issue.

However, we are happy to say that we have fixed the problem with our update system. Now, we are putting the final touches on the Midsummer guide and hope to have it available within the next few hours.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the delay.

Take care.

Kudos for choosing Darnassus as the place to start the Midsummer Fire Festival,
cause we all are hanging around there, and the shadow for torch juggling is so easy to see there, oh wait.

It is the most logical place to start in Kalimdor...

I just received an email announcing the free Midsummer Fire guide. It is from zygorguides@aweber.com; on behalf of; Zygor Guides [zygor@zygorguides.com]. Is this a legitimate place to go to or a hacker site?

I found Exodar to be easier to see the shadow.Plus if your a hunter turn on Aspect of the Cheetah. Also I have heard that druids can use travel form after they first throw the torch in the air.

It is legitimate. Aweber is the email service we use for our newsletters.

The event guide is really making me angry... It keeps skipping all the quests so I find myself only going to the places it tells me to travel... then it fast forwards hella.

Hmm, it shouldn't be doing that. Are all the steps marked green, red, or gray? Try completely deleting all the Zygor folders in your Addons folder, then download and install the guides again.

If you're using the Zygor Client, click the Repair button.

I fear it may be because the quests all have the same name, so it registers as having them all done. Same with most of the alliance flames. (I play horde)

That was an issue, yes, but we have fixed that (at least it works on our end). I'm thinking maybe the ZygorGuidesViewer didn't update correctly for you, for some reason. Try what I said above in my previous post and see if that fixes it.

I ran through the whole alliance version of the guide last night. Only issue was the wrong coordinate in the badlands. The rest worked just fine for me.

it says the bonfire is at 51, 47 but it is not there. I will search for it and give exact coordinates once i find it.

I found this in another thread that has helped me. the coordinates are right but i had not finished this thing that affects it.

Actually, it may be because you've started the Wrath gate questline in Dragonblight, but never finished it. Once you finished that quest line (the long annoying quest to take back Undercity), then you will see mobs in Durotar and Orgrimmar again.

Here are links to The Battle For The Undercity quests:

Step 127 is flight master wrong marked (alliance guide).

The step 40 problem isn't bad guide coordinates, it's Durotar crashing. If you go to that location and there's nothing there take a moment to run into Razor Hill and notice there isn't a single NPC anywhere. It's just a matter of waiting for Blizzard to get the zone fixed.

Tested this step and it is the correct coordinates.

Step 127 is flight master wrong marked (alliance guide).

Tested and the flight master is found at this location. The coordinates were marked right. Not sure if someone else already corrected this but he is found at 69.3,49.7.

Dang!

This gave me 2 more levels, a new 'spirit of summer' pet, a couple of new flight paths (I've been travel lazy lately) and some fun! And I even skipped the steps that said 'you should be a lvl 80 to do this'!

Thanks!!

You can shave a few minutes off of the flight time in the Alliance section by going from Feathermoon down into Silithis to honor and desecrate before flying over to the other side of Feralas. Wasting a good 5 minutes flying due to the flight paths.

I just finished step 96 in badlands. The coordinates are not correct, unfortunately.

You want to go to "Kargath" in the badlands to find the fire.

Yeah, that was reported in another thread Kam and Zygor said the fix will be in the next update.

I have to say, loving the guide! I've had 2 achievements so far going through the normal guide, and looking forward to finishing the 2nd and 3rd continents :)

Even going into Orgrimmar was fun (as an Ally). Thunder Hoof was also a good time, managing to do it without dying by actually using CC. I guess I'm just lucky it's not exactly crawling with high-end toons like Org ;)

Hehe, I died once in Org on my way to the fire then I respawned around the corner out of view of the stupid guy trying to corpse camp me and ran the rest of the way to the fire and let them just kill me after I stole the flame so I could get back outside faster. :D

Thunder Bluff was too easy, I ran around the back and used the lift back there that put me right beside the bridge over to Spirit Rise, never once saw another player and just let my pet deal with the NPCs while I ignored them and grabbed the flame.

Undercity was just too damn easy. Silvermoon was a bit of a pain, there's too many damn NPCs standing around on the path to the flame but I managed to get to the flame and steal it before the 20,000 (exaggeration) NPCs killed me. Was another nice fast trip back outside and the repair bills for the couple of deaths were more than covered by all the quest gold at 80.

I pretty much did the same as what Cabby said. I went with a Pally friend and he bubbled and ran in first gaining attn from everyone. I walked in and stole the flame. I was on my way back out of Og and they got us both, but in the end it was faster to raise at the graveyard and run. Undercity was easy because the flame is RIGHT there. My friend bubbled and ran in first again. I stole the flame and invised my way out. Since it was so close his bubble lasted the entire way in and out. The other two were just way to simple to even talk about. I got my achiev so that is another step completed towards the 310% mount :)

Silvermoon was dead-easy - just put on my tank gear, frost presence, and ran through. It helps that there are never any players there :)
