Question on Argent Champion

Hello. I just started doing the Argent stuff to get the Champion title. The 5th quest according to the guide sends me to some lake to kiss frogs. I never have received the wart balm. I tried this exact same run using the guide on a different character...I got the exact same result. Am I missing something? Do I just kiss the frogs without the balm? Sat there forever and nothing ever happens.

Second question. When doing the IceCrown quest chains there is a quest which sends you to Moonglade. You half go to sleep and are supposed to pick up pine cones. Again on 2 different chars I am able to go to half sleep but the pine cones are not lootable. I even disabled all of my addons to no avail. Is this quest broken? Anyone else had this issue?

BTW love your guides. Have used it to make 5 80's. You do a fantastic job and the daily stuff is a huge help.

That's one of the random dailies you can get each day. If you don't have the balm I would think that you don't have the quest. It shouldn't be showing you the quest though if you didn't pick it up. Did you manually move around in the steps at any point? The reason I ask is because, when automatically skipping, it should skip over the instructions for that step, but if you manually moved through the steps, that would cause you to see the instructions for that step.

Also in reference to the first question...I did the pre quests than moved to the argent chain via the zygor guide when I was told the pre quest chain had been completed. I had to manually start that next chain on the guide...I do not think it will start it automatically. So I can just skip that quest (the wart one?) Works for me :)

The frog-kissing quest is one of three quests given out by the 'middle' NPC and you will be offered only one of these three (randomly) each day. Make sure that you have "skip impossible steps" selected in the guide settings and it should automatically advance to the correct steps for the quest you've been given that day.

You will not achieve the Argent Champion title unless you attain exhaulted status with the Argent Dawn. The Argent Dawn is not included in the reputation guide. After you are exhaulted with your home cities and the Argent Crusade you will gain the Crusader title only not Champion.

You should have gotten an Insignia of the Argent Dawn (trinket) when doing quests in the Plaguelands. Equip it then run Stratholme (the one in Plaguelands) looting the scourgestones and turning them in. Dozen or so solo runs (at 80) trying to get the mount from the Baron and you'll get exalted with the Dawn and coupled with Crusade you'll get Argent Champion (hit it with my paladin this weekend but still don't have the mount.

Yes, you will. :-) You do not need Argent Dawn reputation at all in order to achieve your Crusader title. Here are the links to the achievements that provides the Crusader title:

You need to become a champion of, and exalted with, each of your faction's races, as well as becoming exalted with The Argent Crusade faction.

You linked the achievement for the Argent Champion of the Alliance/Horde. The Argent Champion (with the title) requires both Argent Dawn and Argent Crusade -- which is what both 1manarmy and I had previously stated.

Blah, my bad. For some reason, I thought you were saying you wouldn't receive the Crusader title without being exalted with the Argent Dawn. Now I'll go back to sticking my head in the sand. :-D

I specifically took my DK to the plaguelands to scout out the area for mr Mage who has the Crusader title. I have the trinket and the key to Strat but I don't recall where I got the trinket. My DK is a chanter so I plan on spending lots of time in Strat:-)
Should I start my Mage at the Bulwark for Argent Dawn rep or should I just go straight to light's chapel and then to Strat?

I think you can get the trinket from either of the two NPCs that you can turn the scourgestones in to. I know I got my in Western Plaguelands (I think from a female) and there's a male NPC at Light's Hope that takes scourgestones.
