Ice Crown Full ZOne: Step 128

IT says to go and talk to the Leaper he should be around 43,25. However i cannot find him. When i fly around and have a look he's still where he was for step 124 at 43,19.

but now i cannot get the the quest to go an kill him again, as i have already successfully turned in Free your mind at step 127
Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

Ok having had a bit of a run, and then skipping this quest I killed General Lightsbane and handed that quest in. Htat has triggered the phasing on my toon so that shadow vault is now friendly, and brought Leaper in to the right spot, but he still doesn't offer me the quest :(.

So I'd suggest that step 130 & 128 are swapped around.

Guessing the missing quest is to do with my rep with the Knights of the ebon blade (i'm only just friendly with them...?)

ANy thoughts on how to build my rep with them?

I haven't done many quests in Icecrown on my hunter. I have opened Shadow Vault and there are quests available to me from most of the quest givers.
1) Dalaran to skyship - talk to Thassarian
2) Shoot eye - talk to Baron
3) Get hook, rod, 5x scourge stuff - talk to Baron
4) Kill Vile, Leaper, Woman - burn(?) corpses - talk to Baron
5) Click weapon rack - kill general - talk to Baron
6) Return to Thassarian
7) Return to newly phased Shadow Vault
8) Leaper ready to give me "Eliminate the Competition"

Vile didn't want to talk to me today but he was heading towards the stairs so he may have been "in combat". I need to gain another level before I finish the Shadow Vault quest line (77 is just a little too low -- mobs are too tightly packed for comfort).

Leaper (pre-friendly) is an aggro mob that roams around way up on the ledge. It took me a while to find him because he roams so far and other people kill him.

Once you are friendly Leaper is not aggro so not sure you can do that quest after the fact *shrug*

I have the exact same issue. I completed quest 'Free Your Mind' at step 127 where I killed first The Leaper (it becomes friendly with me). At step 128 guide said to talk to him but he's no more friendly , my only option is to kill him again without having the chance to talk with him. So I'm not able to pick quest 'Shoot 'Em UP!"

Any idea on how to solve this issue ?

Leapers quest didn't come available until step 142 or something...I did several turn ins at the time so it was afer turning in one or a combination of some of the shadow vault quests. I'm at work atm, so when I get home I can double check the step that made it come available. 128 is where we are told to get the quest but it wasn't available until the 140's, I am compelled to think it was 142 but again I'm not sure and will check when I get home and post for accuracy.

What I did was to continue doing quest skipping #128, then most probably due to completing some following quests I come back and everything at Shadow Vault changed , there was an innerkeeper , all hostile mobs disappeared and there was The Leaper magically friendly. But the big problem is that he still doesn't give me that quest 'Shot'Em Up' and most strange is that I was able to pick another quest from him exactly 'Eliminate the Competition'.
Maybe is there some pre-quest to do before that enable The Leaper to give that quest ?

That's exaclty what it is...you also need the rep. Continue skipping shoot em up steps and 1 by 1 hand in quests to determine which unlocks it. I think honored is the needed rep, but still am at work and can't look easily atm. I think its one of the quests from the guy on the horse that started out on skybreaker that unlocks theapers shoot em up quest, if not him it wwas the guy inside shadowvault to the left of the door.

If you're capable of getting "Eliminate the Competition" from the Leaper, then you're very close to being able to get the daily "Shoot 'Em Up". Been a while since I've done these you're probably no more that 5 or 6 quests away from having the Shadow Vault dailies available. Do the quests that are available and see where you go from there. I've unlocked all these with my higher level toons but it was done long before any guides were available so I can't tell you the quest chains from where you are.

Great Thanks Guys, I'm not sure what my rep is at the moment but hopefully this will be corrected shortly. Or maybe its becasue I hit 80 with the guide on this toon prior to actually finishing the guide. Gotta love the speed of Zygors leveling.

Will keep working on the quests and see when it unlocks :)

Ok guys I've found solution ! :)
The pre-requisite is to complete and turn in quest 'Ebon Blade Prisoners' , after doing this The Leaper finally give the quest 'Shot'Em Up' (at this time I'm also honored with Knights of the Ebon Blade faction dunno if this could matter btw just check if you are also)
So basically the fix in the guide should be to move step 128 after step 245 when the Ebon Blade Prisoners is turned in :)

I ran into the same problem today.
Step 151 has to be removed as the quest was not accepted at that point.
The turnin at step 154 of the quest has to be removed also.
Step 245 which tells to accept the quest is in the guide at the correct position.
Doing the quest would be between step 262 and 263 before riding the proto drake. Move the previous step 151 here.
The turnin should be at the very end of the guide after turning in "Vile like fire".

The issue with the "Shoot 'Em Up" Quest still exists. I know you are busy getting the Cataclysm guides ready but as there are only small changes necessary I hope you can correct this soon.

I have been using the ATG gold guide for a while, but never being able to get the quest Capture More Dispatches from the Skybreaker Captain.

This quest is not available to me and shows another one as a daily, don´t know what I need to get this quest and follow the guide.

Have you done the Icecrown Full Zone guide that part of the Dailies guides? You need to complete that to unlock all of the dailies in Icecrown.

I think a previous post stated Honour has a lot to do wit it, I couldn't accept the Shoot em up quest so skiped it, carried on for about dozen steps or so, then came back and it was avaliable..............!!!
