Netherdrake Guide

It know it's only a small part of the guide, but i'm starting off with the Netherdrake guide. It was one of the things from the leveling guide bonuses I've wanted to do for ages and not got round to doing. Now it's in game not pdf :)

Was so gratfull for this inclusion I brought the Horde and alliance version even though I've only got 10 Horde players (all but one leveled with zygor) Worth the extra $5 as a donation !!

Great work, looking forward to lots of sleepless nights :)

Silver, you dont give yourself enough credit. What you produced was/is awesome, and Im sure it helped Zygor out quite a bit.

Question on it though. I did the ND guide last night and got to the point where I couldnt accept another quests from that guy, after the crystals gathering.

What should be my next step(s) to continue?

You can use the Guide Viewer to go to the next section. For instance if you're friendly with them, it'll say like Netherwing Reputation (Friendly) on the guide. Will give a more detailed response if nobody else did when I get home from work.

Its at step 17 and the stopping point for me is accepting more quests from Mordenai. He says something about needing flying. I presume artisan flying, since I havent gotten that for my lock yet.
Is this what I need to worry about, or is there another reason I cant move forward?

I really want my drake but when you spend all your time fixing things around the house, having family visit, working on-call issues ... the WoW time is cut way back. I am only about 1/3 way through revered but not even logged in for 3-4 days. Maybe I'll have time to play tonight *shrug*

Edit: logged in last night and realized two things:

A bummer is that I am only half way through honored ... not revered. I have been running the "friendly" guide section while having honored rep which goes slow.
Second, racing those guys was easy until the one that throws lightning at you. I tried that many times last night with no luck. If you try to fly above him out of range of the lightning you lose. If you try to fly behind him out of the range you lose. Same goes for sides. Then when I got far enough the freak goes over the runway at the end and keeps going ... I thought that was the end and stopped. I lost again! At this rate I'll be revered by turning in ore and gems, which I have enough for doing those two dailies for many days.

I am not sure how people finish this so quickly. I am finally revered and lack 14000 rep to exalted. The daily quests give about 1500 per day so shy of finding eggs I am a week out from finally finishing this stupid section.

In the end I am not sure it will be worth the mount as the drake you ride while doing the quests still blocks too much of the screen. I am going to RAF myself and get the rocket with NO wings to block the screen as soon as I finish. Only going to finish this because I started it and am pretty close to done.

I dont get it. i bought the leveling guide awhile aggo, back in bc :P. but now you guys say that the neatherdrake guide is ingame, not PDF. but when i try 2 download it from members area its gives me pdf :(. Please help, AMazing guide btw! :D

The rest of the statement about it being ingame is that its part of the dailies guide package. If you didnt purchase the dailies guide, you still have access to it, in the PDF file format.

I did finish the drake guide and Zygor did make it a ton easier. I really hated doing it about 3/4 the way through but I got another exalted rep now. I also did the RAF and now have the two seater WINGLESS rocket. Dude, that thing rocks! Screw all the birds with the huge wings blocking the view.

My char is am Alliance lvl 80 dwarf hunter with 300/300 riding skills and an epic mount. The only reply I get from Mordenai is "They can't keep things up. Their wings will eventually give".

I have 'consulted' the 2 neutral dragons in the area but got no clues.

What is going wrong please?

I think it must have missed steps. There must be a precursor that they have not mentioned. How can I get this put right please?

Go into your Dynamic Progression section of the guide options, uncheck all 4 boxes and adjust the slider to 80. Now go back to step one of the Netherdrake guide and right click the next step button. If the guide skipped any steps then this will find them and make the guide stop on them.

Thanks for your helpful reply. I have done what you suggest but found no clues. The Netherdrake Guide is of course a pdf and there is nothing to click. However, the quest becomes available at lvl 70 so I went back to 68-70 but again no clues. I will take it up with Support. I would not have bought the package without this component. If Mordenai doesn't have a symbol above him the above him then either you already completed the quest, or it is bugged on your server. I just finished up Loremaster of Outlands this weekend and had to do this quest to get the achievement.

Ahh, I didn't realize you were using the .pdf guide. My suggestions had been if you were using the in game Netherdrake guide that's part of the Dailies & Events guides.

One thing I just thought of, do you have your epic (Artisan) flying skill? I believe you need this in order to do the quests.

You can only finish about the first 7 quests in that guide without Artisan flying.

Yes, it's easy to obtain the Netherdrake mount solo, it just takes some time to do it with the egg hunting and rep building.

That's not 100% correct as it depends on the character's level and class. There's one prequest for the netherdrake that may require a little help if you are not at least level 80:

With Cata I just finished leveling to 85 and along the way managed to reach honored with Dragonmaw. Now any quest in the Netherdrake chain which requires me to kill Dragonmaw mobs is undoable (can't even target them). Odd thing is that even though I'm honored the mobs are still red but they do not attack and I cannot attack them. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried setting them to war in the reputation tab?

This must be a bug as normally reputation with a faction in one expansion shouldn't affect anything in another expansion. Just try what Chaos suggests.

It's a great guide as I did the neutral parts last night, but once I finished that, I am still neutral with neatherwing. What do I need to do to continue to raise it so I can start the friendly section of the guide?

Started on the egg hunt part. The flight path to different spawn points wasn't finding any eggs. Even using a macro "/target Netherwing Egg" (or what ever it is) wasn't tagging anything.

Moving into the mine had much better results. But they're still difficult to come by if you just run about looking for them.

My tip is one I found on another source that said to kill ALL mobs within the mine (except the friendlies near the entrances). Once I started doing that (killing every mob I came across) the "find rate" improved quite a bit. I typically find 3 or so around on the ground (and in the mine carts). And then 2 or 3 on the mobs. All mobs but the slimes have a chance at dropping them.


And Cabby is right. The early portion of this effort on gaining the right rep is very much a slogging grind. So if you want the mount, be prepared to spend many a day running all of the dailies and doing the other quests to acheive the needed rep for the reward.

In Bounusmaterials i had the Neatherdrake Guide in a pdf document, but after the Cataclysm release the archaeology had replaced it, and i think Neatherdrake is more important for me then basic information of archaeology is. And now i wonder were can i access the guide, i didnt have ink in my printer that time to get it out or save it and now its "gone"?

Ty for awnsering dudedafool! But, hrm.. If i get it as bonusmaterial, they just cant delete it and not give it back? I bought it and it camed with as bonus, and it says i can find it under the menu in members under "bonus materials".

And now when zygor didnt gave any hint that it will be deletet, save it or it will be gone when cata arrives i think he could put it back or to the one that bought it because it was one of the bonuses, as me. And if you buy a car and get 4 wheels to it, you get warranty on the weels also. But if company stop the offer and they now have a offer if you buy a car and get 1 free service under a year, it dosnt remove the warranty of the wheels.

And i opened it once and waited for me when i get the ink and now i cant print it and u say its gone. I just want it in pdf not in guide. Should do a service if we request it and had it as bonusmaterial he could mail it over to the mail i registered when i bought full zygorguide.

I had in mind to buy the Dailies and events guide, but now when everything seems that it can change like that, i will wait until zygorteam say something about this. If i get it i will be happy and then its a big chance i get the dailies and events guide, and i cant wait until they release the archievment guide. But i will not buy the dailies and event because of a guide i got as bonusmaterial, and said it can be found there, and just replaced. I hope this will be sorted out easy. I like the guide but if the guide is gone for me, that is not good advertisment and i rly rly want it.
