cartographer map error

I'm having an issue if i try to maximize or minimize the map with the error in the top right corner. Comes up with an error trying to index a nil value in the lookandfeel.lua. Then my map goes all buggy and doesn't show me in the right location anymore. It's like it goes off center or something idk. Any ideas?:confused:

Delete all of the Cartographer folders out of your WoW AddOns folder. After that, download and install TomTom from here:

That should fix your problem.

yup that worked. any idea how to fix cartographer? Is this a known issue?

It's a known issue. We are working to move away from using Cartographer as we develop our own waypoint system. Having our own waypointer will allow us to keep everything much more stable and reliable for you guys. That's coming soon.

or just go to your addons at your character screen and from carthographer only enable waypoints / map dots etc.
stuff like proffesions or lookandfeel make it bugged, after youve done that your map wil also show you in the right location :)
but youll stil have the waypoint and the orange dots on your mini / map

Had the same problem recently. I am a casual player, so I use the guides to keep up with mates and the game (and still lagging :) -- very casual). Changed to Tomtom and that worked perfectly. But I do have a simple question, why is cartographer still in the "official" zip file instead of Tomtom then? wouldn't it make more sense to take it out and leave Tomtom?

I think that there had originally been consent given by the Cartographer author to package Cartographer with the guides. Since team is developing their own waypoint system there's no need to go get the permission from the TomTom author. Of course I could be totally wrong about this.
