First off; yes, I know my question can be answered inworld LOL. I am sitting at work and thinking about my new DK, and I was hopping another DK could answer a question.....

When I first started WoW, I was helped by a lvl 80 DK in DM an Stocks. While running the Stocks, I watched him get ready to pull the mobs, run into the first four rooms, pulling the train with him. When he had them all around him, he used a way kewl AoE that pretty much killed them all with one cast.

So for my question.....

When do you qualify for this AoE.

I WANT IT!!!!!

My guess is that it was "Death and Decay", which you get at level 60.

Yeah, that would probably be it. That's a great AoE spell for farming the lower level stuff.

I couldn't begin to guess that as I think I've only ever been in Stocks one time.

Anyone know the name of the PVE to start the quest for the DK minion. I heard the quest(s) starts in the DK starting area.

If you mean the ghoul pet, that's a spell that all DKs get. The spell summons the pet for 1 min (maybe 30 sec), uses corpse dust or a humanoid corpse as a reagent, and the pet is uncontrollable. In order to make the pet a permanent pet and controllable you have to spend talent points in the Unholy tree (can't remember the name of the talent).

Someone may have mistake the one quest that's in the DK starting zone as how they got their ghoul pet. There's a quest there that you have to turn 5 miners into ghouls to take back to an NPC (he's hungry) and I can see how this could easily be mistaken as a prerequisite to obtaining your pet.

you can create a dk and instantly solo stockades wuth just your starter weapon tbh.

You won't have the cool aoe spells but you can clear stockades easy enough.

It's a great aoe spell for farming anything. It's the bread and butter spell of both tanking dk's and unholy aoe dps dk's (onyxia 25 whelps. IT, PS, Pest, death and decay and sit back and lol at your 15k+ dps)

I heard a rumor that with this next patch, AoEs are only going to hit 10 mobs at a time. I haven't bothered to look further into it.

Not entirely true. But from 3.3 they will make it so that the total ammount of damage done by AOE will never be over what you would do to 10 mobs.
Hard to explain so here are an expample:

if you on 10 mobs do 1000 damage/mob, you will make 500 damage/mob if there are 20.. so the total ammount is the same.
