Hi guys, love the guide. I'm having one problem with the talent guide. I'm a 49 mage, in the talent tree it say rank 1/1 but the Zygor Talent Advisor say 2. It wont allow me to use the auto assign feature because it keeps the big "1" next to Pyro Blast on my talent tree; So I have to assign it myself. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I just looked at the builds with the current release and they are correct. Make sure to download and install the 2.0.532 version that can be found in the members area to fix this.

I did that, where i did not have the new zygor guide display on screen i have it now but still have the issue with pyroblast being only 1 talent point and guide says it should be 2

Open <WoW Directory>/Interface/AddOns/ZygorTalentAdvisor/Builds/ZygorGuidesBuilds.lua with notepad and do a search for pyroblast (edit menu then find or just Control+F). When you find an entry for pyroblast look at the numbers in front of it. They should be 1/1. If you find one that says 2/2 then change it to 1/1 and save the file. This should correct the issue for you.
If everything in your ZygorGuidesBuilds.lua already has 1/1 then it means that you're using a custom build from a different file and that file will have it wrong. Normally the custom files will be in the same directory but named Build##.lua where ## = 01 thru 40.

Make sure you are running the latest update of the guides. The current version on the site has Pyroblast listed once as 1/1.

Hey guys,
Your gudie is great but for a protection paladin it could use some work because you only have talent builds for retribution paladins. I'm dual spec ret and protection so it would be great if the talent builder took both into consideration.

I believe the retribution was picked as it's more suited to easier leveling with some quicker mob killing. You can however always make your own builds for the Talent Advisor to read in and it's not really too hard. If you need help or want to look for a little guidance in making your own builds that are compatable with the Talent Advisor head over to this thread: http://www.zygorguides.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3164
Silverhawk or myself will be happy to help you with getting your own build stuff setup.

I did as you said and pyblast is 1/1. is it possible that i assigned it before the guide did and it doesn't know what to do with it. i'm going to try and reset my talents and see if that fixes it.

That shouldn't be the case as I've had the guide recognize points already spent before using the talent guide. Not sure why it's been giving you trouble. Let us know if re-setting your talent points gets rid of this issue.

Sorry for the trouble guys. i unlearned my talents and had the guide reassign them and that fixed the problem. apparently i must have put it there out of sequience or something, not sure. Anyway, that fixed the problem. it was gammer's error in this case, thanks for your help.

It still should have recognized that you had the point spent, even if it was out of sequence from what the guide was expecting. Still don't know why it didn't.

Although I believe my issues stems from the fact that my toon is 2 levels above the guide at this point and it keeps wanting me to put the points in lethal shot which I have already maxed out.....?????

The level you are in relation the the guide has no impact on how the talent adviser works. The talent adviser works solely off of what your level is and is completely separate from the guide.
Please follow the instructions as listed here: http://www.zygorguides.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3228
Since you're the 2nd person to report this odd behavior maybe the devs can find something.

Well than it is broke cause I have 5/5 in lethal shot and the last 2 points I had to "spend" wanted me to put them there, when I cant it is already maxed. And had to try and find a point that would work.

Please do as I suggested and submit a bug report in the Bugs forum following the guidelines I linked. This is the only way for the devs to be able to find the problem to get it fixed.

I am having a similar problem with a level 64 hunter. I was following the Zygor beast mastery build prior to 2.0, after the update it would not allow me to use the auto build. I tried to do the accept (manual) configuration option but when trying to save is generates an entire line of errors basically saying that Blood of Rhino is not recognized (I have talents spent there from the previous build, but the new build doesn't want any points there). I tried to copy the error in-game, but could not get it to copy all. I will try following your link above and report to dev.
I am also going to try to respec once I get to a trainer and see if that fixes it.

Please let us know if a respec works.

It's been awhile since I posted, but did finally respec my character. I was having issues with the talent tree auto filling. I would get errors that did not make sense. I have the same issue with my pet. Once I unlearned and respec'd my character, the zygor guide is working great. I have not done the same with my pet, but expect that will fix it as well.

Thanks for letting us know. The respec seems to work in most cases to fix the odd issues with the Talent Advisor having problems with assigning points.
