Installing both Alliance and Horde Guides

If you own both guides this installation page will instruct you on how to install them both and run them together. The first thing you should do is install one of the guides by itself using our installation instructions found over here.

Installing the second guide is very easy. For this demonstration we are going to assume that the Alliance guide was installed first and we now want to install the Horde guide. If you installed the Horde guide first just follow the instructions in reverse.

1) The first thing you want to do of course is download the Horde guide from the Members Area of our website.

2) Open the downloaded Zip file with WinRar. Close the evaluation box that pops up and you should see the 17 Zygor and Cartographer files displayed. This time we're only going to extract one folder though, not all 17 folders. From the list of folders, select ZygorGuidesHorde as displayed below:

3) Click Extract To at the top and once again browse to your World of Warcraft directory and go to Interface / AddOns folder.

04) If you do not know where World of Warcraft is installed on your computer, go to the desktop, right click the WoW Icon, select Properties and you will find the directory next to the word Target

By default World of Warcraft is installed to the following places.

Windows XP:

C: -> Program Files -> World of Warcraft -> Interface -> AddOns

Windows Vista:

C: -> Users -> Public -> Games -> World of Warcraft -> Interface -> AddOn

05) With the guides installed in the correct place. Close WinRar and load World of Warcraft. At the character selection screen you should now see a red box in the bottom left hand corner called Add ons. Click this box.

06) Make sure all the Cartographer addons are checked and that both Zygor's Guides - Alliance and Horde are checked. Also make sure "Load out of date addons" is checked at the top.

07) Go in game and you should see the Zygor Guide pop up and an arrow directing you where to go. To see the guide for a specific faction, simply log into a character of that faction.
