There should be no need to have an arrow pointing to him for this step. You should have been directed to him 2 steps before this one (for Alliance, 1 step for Horde), and the step right before was just for talking to him to turn in a quest and accept the next one. This means that you should have already been lead to him and at this point you only need to be shown where you have to kick him.

The last thing was to click him again I think, to say something so that the kicking part starts. And before I spoke to him the arrow showed up and directed me away from him.
Meaning turn in a quest, (and this is the confusing part) the arrow shows up pointing away from him, then talk to him again to make the kicking part begin.
As I said, I think, I would probably not have missed it if I had read the guide text but as lazy as I am I don't always do that.

If you say it's not a problem then I'm ok with that. I just thought I would say something here as I did the same thing on two characters a few weeks apart.

I'll check into it some more to see if the coordinates for him in those previous steps are off.

The problem with this step is that you need to talk to Yi-Mo in order to be able to kick him.
The steps before that have the correct coordinates for Yi-Mo. You are told to find him for the quest "Finding Yi-Mo", turn in this quest and get the next quest to kick him home.

As talking to him to be able to kick him is no goal of the quest "Cheer Up, Yi-Mo" it's a bit problematic to change the mentioned step.
You can either make a confirmation step telling to talk to him and afterwards make the step with the goal to kick him (and make this step only available if you have the quest in the log). Or you insert the coordinates of Yi-Mo as primary coordinates of the kick step and the coordinates for the target area as clickable alternative coordinates.

But both solutions are not ideal too. It always requires the player to read the step

My shadow priest keeps getting agility gear chosen and suggested by the leveling guide. I've disabled the automatic options for it, but I thought you'd like to know. I saved a trace that I can send.

Please update your guides again and see if that helps. We released an update earlier this week to address some gear issues.
