What did I miss?

I was under the impression that TourGuide was, after much discussion (I HAVE read Tekkub's "Clearing the Air"), exclusive to Zygor guides.

Of course, I don't mind either way. However, exclusive is exclusive. If there is meant to be an agreement for TourGuide to only be released as part of Zygor guides, how is it that I have just seen it up on WoWInterface?

Has the deal (amicably) dissolved?

Zygor owns the rights to TourGuide so that his company follows it's rules, and enforces other guide companies to produce guides legally. Zygor allowed TourGuide available to the public to use, you just need to obtain rights for commercial use of the product. In no intention did the Zygor staff want to remove the public use of TourGuide.

Will we ever get a Zygor Guide with tourguide viewer?

I'm not sure if there are any plans to release it. Zygor has said in a previous post a while back that the guides won't probably even use TourGuide, but it may have simular features which required them to obtain the rights to TourGuide.

Yes, a few features we have in store for Zygor Guides are similar enough to Tour Guide that we didn't want to risk infringement. It is unlikely that the guide will ever directly plugin to Tour Guide.
