Only scanning what i want

Is there a way to only scan what i have to sell and what i want to buy?
it takes far too long to scan the whole ah, only to have to scan again every time i click an item

When you open the Sell tab use the Appraise All button to scan for just the items in your bags. On the Buy tab you can search for specific items to see if there are any decent prices but it will not be showing you what to buy it for. That is something you will need to determine for your maximum purchase price when doing a manual search.
