Just did this on my hunter -- good thing he had a pet and a bodyguard. Had to fight my way past 5 elite officers to get into the building (follow the path, cross the bridge, etc). Terrible route. If you go the other way out of Bradensbrook, you can come up to Black Rook by way of the mausoleum and graveyard. Go up the steps to the parapet, follow to the end, turn left and you'll see the area where you have to hit the Xe'ra button. You only have to get past half a dozen low-level mobs.

Just did this today on another toon. Still has the pathing taking you through the group of elites. I ran the back way in (same route as the guide gives for the blacksmithing guide) with no problems at all.

Also, for the world quest daily in Val'Sharah -- become a wisp and grow some trees, the easiest entry point to get up to the pond is directly up the hill from way 48.2, 68.6 You should toss that in rather than the generic - just go over that way oh 350 yards or so.
