Zygor says I will accept the quest for the eggs automatically. This is not true. You must click an egg in your inventory to start the quest.

If the quest was not automatically accepted for you when you looted the egg then another addon was blocking it from happening or you might have still been in combat and that prevented it from being automatically accepted. When you loot the egg it will have the Quest dialog box open up below the mini map for you to click on and show that it's been accepted.

Must be a conflict with SorhaQuestLog then, because I had to manually accept the quest from my bags. I was in combat when the egg dropped, true, but I got no popup for a quest when combat ended.

In the future, I'll check bags, as this has happened twice already. Thanks for the tip!

I've never been sure if that quest pop up window has been attached to the mini map or to the quest watcher frame so I guess there's a possibility that Sorha might be keeping it from showing up. Try to make sure you're out of combat before looting just to double check that side of things as well. I know that combat locks down a lot of different actions so it's a good chance that the pop up can't happen when still in combat.

I figured out a couple of things that might help:

• You are correct that the popup does not happen in combat, at least not with SQL installed. Haven't tried without, although I might test.
• Sorha does not block the popup, but does offer an anchor to move it.

And I haven't figured out what the popup is attached to either, although I have done zero research.

I would say that if Sorha has an anchor for the quest pop up box then it's most likely attached to the quest watch window and not the mini map.

Right. So popup quests do happen with both Zygor and Sorha, therefore I must have looted in combat. Mystery solved!
