By default it does not try to put any score on the item effects (trinket procs and use effects included). You can turn on an experimental scoring for those effects in the gear system settings.

ok new example alpha's paw. ilvl 765 epic item it wants to replace it with storm tail tip ilvl 743 green item either I'm just being silly or that item appears to be worse. if I knew how to setup the /dump command for those items I could give you the results ill save them both just in case. oh tried with and without item scoring (experimental) on both. OK weird things seem to have fixed themselves today items gearing up right don't know if you did it or not but thanks for your patience and help either way may have been a WoW issue may be something you fixed either way I'm good to go appreciate how responsive you are in these times when I know your busy with much more important things than my petty little problems.

So honestly your very appreciated. have been a member over the years off and on since I first played wow you guys are always great and I even recommended a friend your way who has an account now anytime a buddy comes over I show off zygor guides lol everyone is impressed your guide is so all encompassing its amazing. only addon I use extra is a rare finder that flashes my screen when rares are near helps me find gear/artifact power guys. you may consider adding something similar

To setup those dump commands you just replace the number with the item number shown in the URL of the WoWHead page for the item.

Alpha's Paw (http://www.wowhead.com/item=129101/a...w&bonus=1794):
/dump ZGV.ItemScore:GetItemScore("item:129101:0:0:0:0:0: 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0")

The closest I could find for the "storm tail tip" is a Stormwing Tail Tip at ilvl 745.

If those are the correct two items the 400+ agility on the green item will be a much higher score than the 600+ versatility on the other item.

my question is, is it taking into account the extra dps from the proc on that paw I noticed the 400 agility and realize that's a huge deal I'm just wondering just how much the proc makes a diff. and if it makes enough diff that the paw is technically better although on that scoring system shows lower? any idea? btw made sure and gave your facebook a like appreciate the time you've taken with me I know you guys have better things to do than silly item scores I could calculate myself especially with that dumb command now thanks

No, by default we don't try to score the effects. This is because the effects like a proc are variable and you can't say this effect will provide this benefit with any certainty. The only certainty is the actual stats on an item so that is what gets scored.

new example no procs but this is a ring and It seems like ive noticed this in the past it has problems when one ring is way higher power than the other or than the item you should equip.. example its replacing even when I put it directly in the slot instead of using autoequip zygor... Staunch Warbrade Loop ilvl 755(green) and it wont let me equip it over 452 stamina, 659 crit strike and 344 versatility I put it on and it puts my Signet of the watchers guile(also green) ilvl 715 311 stam, 236 versatility, 453 mastery it seems to think that ring is better than the other ring when I compare the two the only diff is the warbrade loop is +141 stam, +659 crit strike and +344 versatility and only -453 mastery. so common sense tells me that the warbrade loop should be way better than the signet of the watchers even with all those pluses not to mention ilvl the one thing the signet has over it is 453 mastery is 453 mastery really better than 141 stam + 659 crit strike and +344 versatility? sorry to keep harping on this it just seems strange to me.

oh and tried to use wowhead to find the ring problem is they don't quite have the exact item they have versions of the item with lower or higher ilvl's which is my guess if zygor uses wowhead as a reference is causing the issue just a thought.

I'm not able to find a 755 version of the warbrave loop on WoWHead to see the actual stats for comparison but this is something you can easily to as well. If you look in the gear system section of the settings look at the stat weights for your spec. Then look at the different items you think are wrong and use a calculator fast to figure out what each item's score should be according to the weights. Just multiply the stat value by the weight value then add them all together for that one item.

We're not seeing anything on our end that should cause that to happen with our default item scoring values. Try clicking the reset button under the item scores in the option sunder Gear Suggestions. It should look like this:



If you don't see those files, try deleting your entire Zygor Guides Viewer folder from inside AddOns and reinstalling to make sure you're getting the latest version.

As you can see, based on that scoring it should be suggesting the "fel-chain boots".We ran tests on this ourselves and got the following results:

Prot Paladin here, reset fixed it for me (I've never changed those values). Tested with some gear that during the dungeon run popped up as upgrades and after the reset they no longer show as upgrades, even after clearing previously declined.
