hi, where do you find the 'errors' so you can copy them? For a week me & my girlfriend are having some issues like yours, but the error is different.
Zygir Guides Viewer: error during intiliatization sequece "gildguide core": ... and then some codes like "golduide-core.lua:438 or viewer.lua:636 in function.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

I was getting 16 various errors at a time. I followed the above instructions. It worked and all is well.

Install BuckSack or Bugger from either Curse or Wowinterface. You can also use Swatter, which is part of the Auctioneer suite, although you can download it by itself from their website.

Once an error occurs, those AddOns catch the error and tuck it away in a window accessable from either a minimap button or a Broker display bar. BugSack looks like a sack, green is no errors, red is one or more errors. Bugger looks like a bug.

Click on either of them and the window with the captured bug appears. You can then Ctrl-a for select, Ctrl-c for copy, and then post the text anywhere, including these forums.

Please click the Go Advanced button before you create a new thread or hit reply in order to see the code tags in the toolbar. The icon looks like #. Alternately, you can type [ code ] [ /code ] before and after your code paste, obviously without the spaces.

Errors

When I open zygor in game, there is nothing there, it's empty. The drop down gives me the option to select a guide, yet there is nothing on the "home" tab to select from, it's completely empty.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and even downloaded the client from the site again, still NADA.

On a side note...I tried to upload a SS of what I get when I open the guide, but yet again I still cannot attach any images. Everything shows as invalid file type no matter what I image I try (ALSO why I don't have an avatar). One of the reasons I quit using this last time. If still no solution I will just go back to playing without the added frustration and save my money :-(

UPDATE:

After disabling all addons it still didn't work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled again and now it works. I will enable addons one at a time until I see if it hates one I have. Will update again when I know more.

Still would like to know a solution for all image file types being shown as invalid when I try to upload anything, including an avatar.

The image upload thing is a bug on the forums that we have on our list to get fixed. Right now the Legion guides have a higher priority so it will most likely be fixed sometime after Legion launches and we've worked out any major bugs in the guides.
