Guide not targeting mobs when I click on the enemy type

As the title says, when I click on the enemy name in the guide viewer, it does not target a mob, even if said mob is 4 feet in front of me. This happens more often then not. For example. Guide step says "kill blackrock orc". I click name of the mob in the viewer and it does nothing, Sometimes even putting a marker above a friendly target i currently have targeted.

The targeting will only work if it's an actual mob name in the step. In your example Blackrock Orc is not an actual NPC name, it's just a description telling you to kill any Blackrock mobs. Sometimes it's also not able to do the targeting if it has multiple mob names in the line.

I have a question. Was the "magic button" removed from the guide due to Blizzard saying that it was "too automating" which they are against. I mean it was basically a button that played the game for you.

I think it was just one of those items that died off during guide viewer overhauls. All it really did was use a keybind instead of you clicking on the NPC name in the guide viewer. It was still the exact same macro that was running in the background no matter how you accessed it.
