While the new subscription prices coming sounds nice, they see no benefit for me as all my guides are purchased already. How about something for those who spent a pretty penny already on your guides like offering free upgrades for spending a certain amount to say thank you to those for being so loyal? Just a thought.

Existing customers will be able to signup at the discounted loyalty rate of $4.99 rather than the standard price of $7.99. Customers who own all the guides will be able to take advantage of the benefit when the next expansion is released and there are upgrades made available for all guides.

One question I have about the subscription service is that even though I have purchased pretty much all the Guides I do not play 12 months out of the year. These days I only play WoW about 2-3 months a year. Usually 1 month at a time during particularly enjoyable events and such. Will I have to pay every single month or can I just pay for the months that I play? Will the $4.99 rate (why not just call it $5) be available whenever I choose to play?

It will work just like the game subscription and you can subscribe and un-subscribe anytime you wish.

Don't be fooled though. If you signup once it's launched at the rate of $4.99/month and cancel down the road, you're going to end up paying $7.99/month.

Very good point. I was considering on taking a subscription a few days back but by you saying this, I think I'll stick to my separate guides instead ^^ unless zygor can confirm otherwise and loyal users can keep their $4.99/month even if they cancelled of freeze the subscription.

We have been open about it in other threads. The loyalty rate will be locked in for as long as you keep your subscription active. If you cancel your subscription then your rate will revert back to the default $7.99 rate. You can also lower the price with the referral system and get it to the point where you are getting your subscription for free.
