Tooltip not working with Crafting window

I have been having issues with the price data not showing up when I hover the mouse over an item in the crafting window. The price data shows up fine when hovering over an item in my inventory, in the gold guide window or in the auction house. The problem is isolated to the crafting window and displays "n/a" for each of the price and demand fields. My character has tailoring/enchanting as the professions, although I don't know if the problem is profession-related or not.

So if you create an item you can see pricing data when it's in your bag but you can't see the pricing data before you create it in the crafting window? Just wanting to make sure it's the same item you're looking at in both areas.

Yes, it is the same item. As an example, when looking at the Sumptuous Fur tooltip in my bag it shows the Lowest Price is 1g 73s 25c. The same item, Sumptuous Fur, is used to craft Secrets of Draenor Tailoring. When looking at the tooltip for Sumptuous Fur in the crafting window for the Secrets of Draenor Tailoring recipe it shows Current Lowest Price n/a. This only became an issue in the last few patches because I have been using this since the guide was released.

Just want to double check one more thing, do you have any other addons running? If you do have you disabled all other addons to test to make sure it's still broken when only Zygor is enabled?

Yes, the problem persists whether all other addons are disabled or not.

Hmm, I'm trying to duplicate this but I'm having a small problem with doing so. At first it appeared that one of the items in the crafting window had no AH data but after I closed and opened the crafting window (at the bank looking to grab reagents for testing) then items did have the AH data. If you open and close the crafting window a couple times does it then show the AH data in the tooltip?

I've tried opening and closing the crafting window for all of my professions several times over but I am still seeing "n/a" for all of the pricing when viewing the tooltips. This is consistent with First Aid, Cooking, Tailoring and Enchanting. I've tried this over extended play sessions as well just to be sure there was no load time issue affecting the situation as well.

When you open the guide selection window in game what does it show in the lower left corner for the version number?

Version 5.0.12295.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

Done, but it did not correct the issue. I tried again disabling all other addons and opening and closing the crafting windows several times. Current version is again showing 5.0.12295 after reinstall.

Ok, I'll see if anyone else on the team is able to reproduce this since I can't.

I've since deleted all of my other addons and all of the WTF and interface files related to those addons, leaving only the Zygor Guides data. Still, I am having this issue. Considering you did see this issue when you first opened the crafting window, there must be a setting somewhere that is either the source of the issue or is causing that particular set of tooltips not to update. What settings might affect the crafting window but not the bag and auction house tooltips?

Have you tried emptying the game cache to let that get re-built?

One of our dev team has been able to reproduce this. We'll be re-working the tooltips to get it to work properly in all instances. Thanks for the testing and reporting this.
