Flying Mounts - I want some!

I have a couple of the standard mounts, but really want to get some fancy ones!

where would people recommend beginning?

If you have plenty of gold you could purchase the vial of shifting sands from the AH. You could also start working on the netherwing reputation so you can get those flying mounts. There is also the Firelands reputation that would be easy to do on a 100 toon that will get you the Flameward Hippogryph and a title.

Even at 90 those shouldn't be too bad to do because what I listed is all from Cata or earlier.

I am very disappointed in the Zygor Pets & Mounts guide. I want a Time-Lost Protodrake. I eagerly went to my guide for which I paid hard earned money and it told me go get it. It is rare and might take you quite a while. That is it. Not where to find it. Not what Mob might drop it. Not what zone, or what level. Why did I spend money for this guide so I would still have to go to Wowhead for the info and Wowhead is free. What is the matter with you guys? Will you fix this? A guide is supposed to guide me through my endeavor, step by step; Where to go, what to kill, ....etc.

The Travel System should be taking you to the Storm Peaks and directing you around 10 different waypoints for you to search for the Time-Lost Proto Drake which is the mob that the step says you need to kill. Do you not have the arrow pointing you there? Do you have the Travel System turned off?
