Step 7 Netherstorm loremaster

on step 7 of the netherstorm loremaster guide on horde which states to accept a quest from spymaster thalodien, but hes hostile to me, even though i cant attack him. he has no quests.

What is your Scryers and Aldor reputations at? The Spymaster is part of the Scryers and that step should only be visible if your Scryers reputation is neutral or higher.

While waiting for reply i decided to go to Shadowmoon Valey and do quests there and the same thing happened at step 35, Loremaster

Sounds like the guide viewer thinks you might be friendly with Scryers. Try going into the guide viewer options (gear icon on the guide viewer) and in the Profile section click on the Reset Profile button, then type /re into the chat window to reload the UI. After that's done open up your reputation window again and then reload either of those guides to see if you still have the same problem.

Still thinks im friendly with scryers. I reset profile, reloaded the ui and then loremaster, outlands, Shadowmoon Valey and still goes back to the same step, telling me to speak to Varen the Reclaimer

So just to be sure i decided to delete Zygor guides in WoW addons folder. I then uninstalled Zygor Guides downloader and searched for any Zygor files on my computer and deleted them all. I then searched the registry and deleted a file in there. I went back on wow just to make sure wow isnt picking anything up from Zygor Guides, which it hadn't. I then downloaded the downloader, installed it and ran it. Went back on wow, set up the guides viewer and loaded Loremaster > outlands > Shadowmoon Valley. I skipped the steps that I have already completed and it still loaded the step where its asking me to talk to Varen the Reclaimer, who is hostile.

If theres anything else you can think of that i can do to make sure its not something im doing wrong please let me know.

Like I say, we'll have to look into this. It looks like the guide viewer isn't recognizing the reputation levels for knowing which steps to display. I was able to get the same thing to happen to me with the Netherstorm step 7 on a toon that is hated by Scryers. Just skip the quests you can't accept as they are most likely just Scryers quests.

Same thing happened to me on my Hunter, but usually if I can't accept a quest...I hope you get it working soon! It can be a pain, but you could also do what I do if you find yourself having to skip a lot of quests, Run a couple dungeons to get caught up to the next zone then load the guide for the next zone manually

Just an update on this. We found that if you load up the Leveling guide for the zone and run thru that completely it will work correctly. It's when the Loremaster guide loads the Leveling guide that the reputation detection stops working. We'll get that fixed but for now just load up the Leveling guide for the zone first and run that then load the Loremaster guide for the zone to see if anything else needs to be done.

Not sure why you would jump to that conclusion. These are simply bugs and will be fixed.
