    Travel System stutter? Decent rig.

Hey I run a decent rig, my cpu is a AMD 8350 and the GPU is a radeon 270x. No matter which settings I use with the travel system, it lags terribly at certain places, and I'm not sure what causes this. Seems to happen mainly in Stormwind. If I turn off travel system everything goes back to normal with 60fps. Even if I close the window without shutting off the travel system the stutter still happens. I can upload a clip if you would like to see it. I even tried to shut off every other add-on and programs I don't need. Windows up to date, drivers are too, etc.

Edit: I'm pretty sure this happens mainly when the location is cross continent. I have the calculation speed set to slow.

Try doing a reset of the guides and clearing out the game cache.

    1. Go to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there. This will be re-built as you play without affecting your game play.
    2. Go to your WoW folder and rename/move the Interface folder.
    3. Go to your WoW folder and rename/move the WTF folder.
    4. Run the Zygor desktop client and reinstall the guides. Leave it at just the guides for what is installed for this test.
    5. Go back in game and see if you can get the stuttering to show up again.

This will also do a 'reset' of the game to make almost everything like it was a new install of the game and guides. If you're not able to get it to stutter again then we know we're on the right track. At that point you'd want to exit the game and replace the WTF folder first, then go back in game and test again. If there is still no more problems then exit the game once more and replace the Interface folder, then go in game for another test. If it keeps behaving at this point then you should be able to re-enable your addons and keep going.

Have you tried the steps above to see if that makes any difference?

I'm still having this issue after doing every step listed. Are you not able to reproduce this?

I have not seen this issue at all and I don't recall anyone else on the team mentioning it. I will double check with them to see if anyone else has had this kind of problem. So far you 2 are the only 2 people to report a problem like this so that also makes me think there is something going on with the install and not the guide viewer itself.

Can you give me a specific guide and step number you see this with and where you are standing when you see it?

That is with all other addons disabled?

Hi, I have an AMD 8150FX processor and GTX970 video card and I am also getting unbearable stuttering when the guide is installed. I'm not sure if it was there before the new video card or not. All drivers are up to date. I tried all the above steps and there was no improvement in the stuttering. Started noticing it a few months ago and after enabling and disabling all of my add-ons and isolated it to this one causing the problems. It's unfortunate because it's convenient having the leveling guides, but I find myself disabling them more often than not now because the stuttering is too annoying.

I should probably add that I have almost everything in the guides disabled except for the core add-on functionality (i.e. no travel system or waypointing options enabled) and I'm still getting the stuttering.

Ok, so you've tried renaming the WTF and Interface folders and deleted the contents of the Cache folder and had no luck, right? Just double-checking. Also, you get the stutter even when Zygor is the only addon running, right?

Try going into the guide viewer settings and in the Travel System section (I know you have it off) click to show the advanced options and set the Ant density to Ants off. Maybe it's still trying to do something with the ants when it shouldn't be.
