    Section off guides

It would be awesome if I could enable sections of the guide in order to alleviate the system resources used by the guide. If the various guides were loaded on-demand as needed, it could reduce the systems resources utilized by the add-on, while still allowing the functionality of the guides. It would be great to disable the horde guides if I'm playing an alliance character, or vice-versa. I don't need dungeon guides at max level if I'm clearing raid content. To be able to load guides based on what your character is doing instead of loading the whole guide at once would be an awesome feature.

The guide viewer does already only load the faction that is needed. If you're on an Alliance toon it will not load up the Horde guides, and vice versa. The main reason why we don't have them setup for a load-on-demand aspect is because then the search box would not work when you search for a guide.

I'm just asking since it occupy's over 100MB of memory on my system (yes, I know that is not a lot), and no other add-on leverages more than 10-15MB of memory. I know that searching would not be possible, but would it be possible to separate out zones as Load-on-demand in order to reduce the amount of memory utilized by the system? I sometimes have to lower the settings on my crappy computer in order to utilize the guide so I can get decent FPS, and when I have to raid, I disable it completely. I'm just wondering from an overall performance standpoint.

I can't argue with the product, it's amazing and my friends hate me because I level so damn fast. And with the new heirlooms being in a tab, it's going to make leveling even faster for my zygor toons.

We're always looking at ways to keep the over-head reasonable so this is something you might see in the future. I'm not sure what the future will hold, just wanted to make sure you knew that it did already only load the faction that you're playing.

I don't think that on a PC with more than 2GB RAM the memory usage of the guide will be a problem.
Maybe it's the travel system, apparently there's still some part of it working in the background when the guide window is closed.
You can try loading a guide that has a stp without coordinates at the beginning, for example the cooking daily guide which lets you select one of the three capital city cooking guides in the first step without using coordinates.
