None of the lua files had been changed for over a month.

Do you run the client as administrator? Are you sure you were looking in the correct folder? I just updated to the latest version now and my modified date for the Ver.lua file is showing today.

Running as admin and looking in the wow/interface/addons/zygorguidesviewer folder.

Everything works just fine if I do a complete re-install. But obviously I don't want to do that for every update.

Any anti-virus that might be blocking some of the actions? It is Java based so anti-virus has to like Java as well as Zygor. You could maybe try re-installing Java as well to see if that helps.
