Arrow just points down after a few secs

I was having a problem with automatic flights so I followed your support directions I see every few threads; delete addon folder, savedvariables, etc.
I even did a hard drive search for zygor and deleted everything zygor related everywhere.

I did a fresh install, so I'm using the latest client and guide.

Now the arrow briefly tells me where to go, then points down and stays pointing down.
If I go a screen or two over it'll show where to go for a second, then point down again.

I'm at a loss what to do

Are you a new Worgen still in the starting area?

No I'm a human ret pally, lvl 100 going back over steps I couldn't do in Talador because the guide was glitched when I was going through the area

Apparently my guide was just tired. I exited the game to make/eat dinner, came back, selected Spires, arrow is working.

If you did the fresh install while the game was still running then it would not have taken effect until after you exited the game.
