loading world of warcraft guide causing stuttering performance

Ever time I load the guide my game framerate becomes very erratic and the game starts to lag horribly. tried reloading the ui several times.

When you are in game and you open the guide selection window (small drop down arrow on guide viewer) what does it display in the lower left for the version number?

It shows 5.0.10995

If you disable all other addons does it fix the frame rate?

It doesn't. Yours is the only addon I have installed on my windows install of wow.

Try going to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there, then go to your WoW folder and delete the WTF folder. After you do that go to your WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder and then run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guide files. Then go back in game and see if you still have frame rate issues.

My apologies for suspecting the guide. After much troubleshooting and testing I discovered that my cpu fan was inop so after playing the game for a bit the temp would get too high and the cpu would throttle. Once again, my apologies.
