Guide not recording kills and advancing

Hi,
This is my second toon to level, so things were working earlier. Currently, I'm leveling in Gorgrond and since yesterday, the guide is not recording kills and items gathered in the completion of quests. I have had to manually advance a few of the quests and look at the Blizzard quest interface to see how my quest progress is going such as how many kills left or items to gather for the quest to turn in. The items will be shown with a question mark as completed in the Blizzard interface yet still appear as red with 0 items/kills

Exactly the same thing here - Horde leveling in Gorgrond, Talador, etc.
