Ive been using these guides for years (literally) and generally found them pretty useful, but now im at vet 5 (just) and alternating between Cadwells silver and gold ( last mission in Greenshade) for achievements and zygor guides for leveling, the guides worked for me for a time but now it points to characters who are as often as not, not there where they are supposed to be.

I understand that the same guides are used for 1-50 and start again for vet, but is it really necessary to still keep directing me to the harborage etc.

its getting to the stage where i spend more time trying to get the guides to work than actually playing.

It's supposed to be skipping things like the Harborage questline and the Fighter's and Mage guild quests. If it isn't then we'll have to look into it more.

Agreed, doesn't seem to be skipping anything. Also the mini map stopped updating, this may be a mini map issue though since the main map does update.

Do you use any map addons? Any other addons?

yes Ive got a whole rake of addons, is it only the map addons you are concerned with? in which case i can disable those. Is it supposed to skip the Queen Ayrenn quests as well? she never seems to be at any of her designated sites. but of course ive completed her quest line in these areas by going through Cadwells gold.so its logical that she wouldn't appear but should the guide skip these?

The map addons might be throwing off the arrow. Just a possibility. If you've done her quest line already then most likely it should be skipping her quests too.

Cadwells gold on the last section Reapers marsh, Ive got another issue now,I cant get the other guides to load, im in bangkoria atm but the guide will only show Ad guides and no matter what i do wont show the others tried reinstalling , uninstalling and reinstalling and everything in between but it persists with the ad content and it does show the skyshard guide.
When i use flipper i get this

You do not want to use the flipper anymore. We have this function working in game now and if you use the flipper it will mess up the in game guide changing. Try doing a guide reinstall by running the installer client and then use the wrench icon to reinstall the guides. This should get it to change around the guide properly.

No joy, deleted all the directries one including the dir in the docs folder and reinstlled from scratch but still picks up the AD guides, ill try loading the game with no Zygor installed then install again.


no that didn't work, uninstalled again move my toon to Ebenheart (EP territory ) quit, reinstalled and it still showed AD guides.

Deleted the AD guide from the doc folder and the guide in game only showed wailing prison and coldharbor although it still show a AD content at the top of the drop down box, so its picking them up from the right place.

Try disabling all other addons and see if the guides then change around properly with a UI reload.

its worst than useless atm, spending more time etc as ive stated before. ok ill try that.

tried that disabled all addons ecept Zygor and then went from auridon to bangoria and still the same.

Can you post a screen shot of your quest log showing all the quests you have accepted and in the log?

Is that even possible?, to show all quests at once, anyway I had 24/25 but Ive now abandoned all but two,
1 Reapers marsh, Stonefire Machinations,
2 Main story, Cadwells Gold,
Still no change
