Draenor Professions Guide Question

I just upgraded to the professions guide for Draenor, but I noticed that the farming section does not contain any info about farming new ore and herbs, nor any guide to cooking over 600. When will this information be added?

I can't say anything about the status of guide creation but farming ore and herbs is pretty easy.
Once you upgrade your garrison to level 2 you can unlock the mine and the herb garden wich both supply you with a good amount of resources each day (if Blizzard did not reduce the amount further after the beta).

I am aware of that, but that is not the same thing as the farming guides available - it highlights a path in a zone to fly around, and it is one of the reasons I bought the upgraded guide.

I believe there are new farming guides being made for the Gold guide so they may have been left out of this due to being included in that.

I think you might not have downloaded the updated file. I'm seeing the 600-700 guide on both Horde and Alliance.

So in other words, I will have to buy a different guide to get the functionality that this one previously offered, that I thought I was buying with this one?

I'm not sure what the final decision will be in regards to the farming guides. These were originally just put together to allow people to not have to step thru the regular profession guides to find those paths. They are almost more like a bonus guide since they were never really part of the Professions guides whose purpose is to raise your profession skills and not to help you with farming.

Then why are they listed in a section called Farming? Sorry, I'm just disappointed, as I would use those routes to go around a zone to find materials, and assumed they were included as they have been for all of the previous ores and herbs.

Before they are listed in farming they are listed in Professions. As I said earlier, a final decision about what will happen with them has not been reached yet.

Thank you. I do hope you consider adding the paths to the farming sections of Professions for Draenor as well, even if it is put into the gold making guide. It's a quick way to find the a good path and zone to find materials, and one thing I really liked about the guide.
