6.0.2 and reagent bank

    6.0.2 and reagent bank

    Hi All,

    With the advent of 6.0.2 we can craft from the bank. However, if I deposit mats in my bank Zygor's does not recognize that I have them. For example. Cobalt needed 0\282, but, I have 100 in the bank. It should read 100\282.

    I know this is a change and I am not sure how complex this will be to recognize, but, a fix would be most welcome.

    thanks for the great guides. I have owned and used these since you released way back when.

    To the best of my knowledge addons can not access current bank quantities unless you have the bank window open. This is why we only go by numbers in your bags that you carry.

      Bumping, just because I wanted to point out that isn't true. I don't know if it is a hack job involving saving to tables, or if there is an easy way using APIs, but I can tell you Skillet (trade skill AddOn), Altoholic (probably through Datastore), and various bag AddOns that take a snap shot of your bank and reagent bank all know your total quantities.

      You may be correct, and you can't have an AddOn know what is in the bank/reagent bank until you look, but you could at least keep track from that point.

        Yeah, that's what I meant. Unless you've visited the bank for a inventory count to be stored somewhere we wouldn't know what you have. The problem is that the reagent bank allows people to use the stuff from anywhere so people will be making all sorts of things which will constantly be changing the quantities in the reagent bank. That's something we can't keep track of easily and expecting the customer to go back to look at their reagent bank all the time also isn't viable.

        It's definitely something we have to look at and see what might be able to be done but it will probably be a while before we look at something like this due to the bugs we're working on and having the Gold guide coming out next month.

          Yep, priorities! I can't promise anything, as I am crazy busy for the next several weeks, but I will ask if there is a Zygor API to write plugins? It may be possible as a temporary measure to write a fast AddOn that updates Zygor's inventory tracker.

          In other words, if I can manage the time, I'd be happy take this small burden off your shoulders.

                If you want you could always look in the guide viewer code and make a small addon that works only when ZGV is loaded.

                  That was what I was thinking. One more thing to put off until the weekend. I just noticed there is one file per faction, but they should have similarities. I'll start with those.
