WOD upgrade question

I'm a long time member, but took a break a few years back, missed all of MOP. Never purchased the MOP guide(leveled on my own), but was looking to buy the WOD pre-order. Do I need to purchase MOP first($20 dollars) in order to pre order? I can't see the WOD pre-order price so I can't make an informed decision either way right now. If I have to pay for 2 upgrades I probably won't be purchasing the guide. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you will need to purchase the MoP upgrade before you can see the WoD upgrade.

Won't that make it the same price as buying the guide from scratch? I'm going to be boosting toons to 90 more than leveling through MoP content. I want to just buy the WoD content as that is what I care about using.

The special upgrade pricing is only for going from one expansion to the next chronological expansion.

How much is the special upgrade pricing? (what is the cost of MoP to WoD) Is it less than the 30$ of going from Cata to MoP?

If you're looking to upgrade both factions at once then it's $30 from Cata to MoP and $30 from MoP to WoD.
