[RESOLVED] Guide loading error

Haven't logged in in a while but the last time I did everything was fine.

Logged in today and couldn't get the guide to show. Tried /zygor reset guide which didn't work. Uninstalled, deleted the AddonSaveData directory, and reinstalled. Didn't work. Now I only get a blank Zygor with no guides and some Lorem ipsum text when I try to load a map.

Actually? I'm getting this message (same as the screencap) and no amount of reloading zygor, /reloadui, logging in or out, or repair/re-updating the zygor guide on the desktop is making this go away. I've tried deleting and starting from fresh and nada.

Is there a fix for this?

Can you post a screen shot similar to what is in the first post?

Ah ha! I cleared my comp (flush dns) and rebooted the comp, started up the game, reloaded the ui a couple of times, and it's working now. Before that, it literally was the -exact- same screencap as above. Weird. I'll repeat the steps with my laptop.

It IS working on the PC, but even after a dns flush (because why not? XD) and reboot/reloadui on the laptop, it's not working in WS. I've tried that 3 times and relogging back into the game (and /reloadui each time), as well as making sure the zygor desktop app was set to automatically download updates. Sorry to be a bother! I'm not sure what the diff is between the two, but I have to ask for some fix-it tips, since I mainly game on the laptop (MSI gt60). Here's the screencap you originally asked for:

Look in your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/NCSOFT/WildStar/Addons/ZygorGuidesViewer/Guides/Leveling/<faction> folder and tell me what you see in there for files along with the file sizes.

This is all that I see in it (currently no leveling folder to be found in there). I have the zygor updater on my taskbar set to automatic update, and I'm logged in (not sure why it only shows the freebie guide and says it was downloaded last month?):

Thanks in advance for the help! I have the feeling that I might have missed something in the updater, though I've tried toggling the settings and clicking on the wrench to scan/repair, and re-installing it, as well. Eeek.

This is very odd. You have the latest version but it should be Guides/Leveling/<faction>/<zonename>.lua files. What version is your Zygor client? It should be 2.1.16. What is the Addons setting in the Zygor client for the ESO section?

I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the updater client after going back to an earlier restore point on the laptop. Looks like it worked! Client version shows as 2.1.16, current and latest versions both show as 1.0.10244, and I was able to get the Levian Bay guide to load up and catch up to where I was on the quests. Woot!
