Shortcut icon for the new Zygor Updater

I'm wondering how I can replace the current icon on my Windows 7 Taskbar for the 'white' Zygor Updater with the icon for the new Updater. I had the new Updater icon showing in my "hidden icons" pop-up for a little while, but it disappeared. I need to know where the new Updater is located on my hdd so I can right-click on it and select "Add to Taskbar" (like I did my other one). [A picture of the current one is attached].

how do I replace Zygor Updater icon on taskbar.jpg

Click your Start button there and in the search box look for the ZygorGuidesClient.jar file. That is what you want to add to your taskbar or use to create a desktop icon. There is no set place that this file is saved to like the old client so it's been saved to wherever you saved it when you downloaded it.

Thanks. I knew where that one was. I just thought it was a compressed executable file that the actual updater would be installed from. However, since it's now a ".jar" file instead of a ".exe" file, I can't get it (or, a shortcut of it) Pinned to my Taskbar where it's much easier to use! Nothing ever gets simpler. lol

      Thanks for replying.

What I did was I placed the .jar file itself on the desktop and that lets me just use it directly without worrying about shortcuts or the taskbar. I never even tried to put it down there.

That's one good way to do it, but I have my display setup with absolutely nothing but a beautiful landscape filling my 23" HD screen. The programs I use most often (only 6) are on the Taskbar, and it's hidden until I move my mouse over it. I like the clean display without a million icons covering up my picture. (big grin). I guess it's the 'artist' in me. I like the picture more than the icons. It takes only 1 click to launch any one of them.

Right now this isn't possible, but it will be in the near future.

Thanks! I did notice that on the web, there is software available (for a price) that will convert .jar to .exe files. Far too complicated for me to use! (grin). Currently, I'm still having to use the original .exe type, but it still seems to do the job, though it will be nicer to be up-to-date with your newer one.
