Noticed this last month. Did the DMF trade skill quests on my flower picker / scribe again this morning.
1) Buy paper -- no problem, I was in SW took me right to vendor
2) Buy flour -- no problem, took me right to vendor.
3) Talk to Stamp (Put the crunch in the frogs)
4) Talk to Stamp (Spoilin for Salty Sea Dogs)
5) Talk to Sayge (Writing the Future)
6) Talk to Chronos (Putting the Carnies back together)
7) Talk to Chronos (Herbs for Healing)
After collecting everything, guide had me batter my frogs (at Stamp's booth), then turn other stuff in, then go back to Stamp.
All versions of the guide (regardless of trade skills) should take you from Stamp to Chronos. Sayge is on the other side of a tent then down a path. Guide makes you do a bunch of extra running around both picking up the quests then turning them in. You could also batter the frogs as soon as you picked up the quests from Stamp instead of making it a separate 'gather' type quest step on its own.
