do you need the harrison jones quests

for ramhakken rep? i know u need them for the uldaman achievement, but for the rep to get the mount? i already completed the achievement with another toon, but not the rep.

It does not look like you need to do those. Looking at the quests in that chain I do not see any of them being marked as rewarding any kind of reputation. Granted I only looked at the first few in the chain where you're directly interacting with Harrison Jones, the later ones in the chain might give rep but at that point you're no longer interacting with him.

if you don't need the achievement, only the rep, you may skip all human, gnomes , dwarves or goblin quests, including schnottz ' quest line. you will get to a little more than 4000 points in honored.
and by the way, you can get the crocolisk hides while doing other quests.

edit: if you want to do the second daily quest, fire from the sky, you will need to do all the jones quests. in my case, i don't think it is worth the time and effort.
