Gear Finder, Quest Reward Advisor, and Auto-Equip

I just watched the video and wow that looks cool. I haven't got the World of Warcraft™ Guide Dungeons & Gear. I was wondering do i need this guide to have the auto equip and gear recommendation while questing with my leveling guide?

Auto-equip will work, detecting item upgrades you get from looting or quests, etc. The Gear tab recommending dungeon items will not work unless you purchase the Dungeon & Gear guide. Glad you like the new features! :-)

The Quest Reward Advisor will work as well. The Gear tab you seen in the video which tells you which dungeons have the best gear for you requires the Dungeon and Gear guide, as Zygor pointed out.
