Mining not working

I've just signed up to the subscription so i should have the mining guide, but for some reason i have to use classic mining. The other new mining guide doesn't tell you what to mine until x level, it just tells you to level up your mining skill at the shop, then the next step is the next mining skill, but i haven't mined for it, its like the mining x amount paths are missing and its only telling me to level up bar the first part (silver ore). if you force a skip or tells you to mind silver ore indefinitely.
So it will tell me to mine silver ore, and i have to keep watching till my level doesn't advance anymore, go to the trainer and learn the next level, and go back.

the classic one works, tells me X amount to mine, then goes to next step, then back to a new mining path for x amount. but im not sure classic is the fastest, and that's what im here for.

What level is your character? That mining guide uses Jade Forest for raising up the skill so if you aren't at least 85 you wouldn't be able to access that zone. I'll talk to the team about adding this to the description of that mining guide.

I'm level 100, the guide needs a "you need 50 ores to level" adding to it or "mine 50 till you reach 150" and it skips to the next part where you learn 150 mining, then go mine 250 ores till you reach 250 and you follow the path" for example.

It does have that. You can see in the following pic that it's got the 'Achieve Mining level xxx' between trips to learn the next level from the trainer. The only reason it would be skipping those is if there was some odd addon conflict or the game server is telling the guide viewer that your mining skill is higher than the current step. And of course the arrow would take you around a path on those steps as well.
