Jewels and sockets - where do I start?

Im level 90 mostly solo'd

I really don't know where to start with jewels and sockets. What do people recommend?

Don't worry about them until you are 100 and looking for a little bit extra on the stats for raiding. You don't need them for leveling and they can get expensive fast when you're just going to replace the gear in a couple of levels. When you're at that point then you might want to check with sites like Icy Veins, Noxxic, or Ask Mr Robot to see what they recommend for gems to use in sockets.
