    First talent, why?

Something is really bugging me about the Rogue's recommended talent choice at level 15, Nightstalker gives you speed for travelling faster, and also damage for killing things faster. All the recommended choice Subterfuge does, is make it so you can kill a weak target before being revealed, but it doesn't matter as you cannot reactive stealth before getting revealed anyway.

I think if Zygor is serious about wanting the guide recommendations to be as fast as possible, Nightstalker should really replace Subterfuge as level 15 talent choice IMO.

Yes, Nightstalker does give you a 50% boost to damage while stealthed, but that's only good for one attack and then you're no longer getting that boost. Subterfuge allows you to get a 2nd stealth attack in before being revealed which in turn would be equal to a 100% boost in your stealth damage. As you pointed out at the very end, it's a matter of opinion on which one will be better for survivability and leveling aspects. We just happen to think that the advantage of having the stealth break 3 seconds after the initial attack is better than a straight 50% stealth boost and stealth breaking immediately with the first attack.

Interesting. I would have thought the speedboost itself would render Nightstalker superior, as to complete quests it takes a crapload of walking to get places, at least before you get mounts, and the speedboost quickly adds up to minutes saved when trying to complete quests.

I see why you have Subterfuge, since it deals more damage overall (though I don't see how when you can't use Ambush twice anyway, due to NPC's always facing you).

Oh well, that's just my opinion.

At 15 you only have Ambush, but you will get more skills that require you to be in stealth such as Cheap Shot and Garrote so being able to get off 2 stealth abilities at that point will be a big bonus. You would only really need the stealth movement speed boost if you're planning to do a lot of sneaking past enemies so you can avoid a lot of fighting, but I wouldn't advise that. When the guides were designed they were done so with characters that can't sneak past stuff meaning if you avoid mobs it might actually throw off your level from the guides which could slow you down in the long run. So think of stealth as a tool to initiate combat in a safer manner and not as a safe travel mechanic.

I'm talking about the immense walking process between every quest. Even with the best travelling machanism available, you can easily have to walk up to 800 yards between quests or more. The speed bonus could easily save hours. I must admit I haven't even tried Subterfuge yet, but it just seemed like the best at the time. Thanks for enlightening me though.

That movement bonus is only helpful until you hit 20. Once you're 20 you have your 60% ground mount which is much faster. Getting from 15-20 should only take a couple hours so taking Nightstalker for the movement speed really doesn't mean anything after level 20.

Great, I switched over now that I am 20. Thanks for the help.
