Gathering Guides Farming

I am trying to level my mining on a Horde toon and with all the farming guides/profession guides it keeps on wanting to send me to Eastern Kingdoms...I am leveling in Kalimdor and why do I have to go way over there to level on the farming paths???? Can we not get the farming paths in Kalimdor or is there a way it can see I am in Kalimdor and show me where to mine there????

We only have the farming paths in our guides for the zones with the best amount of ore nodes. If it's trying to send you to EK then that means that zone is has the most of what you need.

If you'd like to have a farming route for any zone you want then I'd suggest a combination of the GatherMate2 and Routes addons. Those 2 will allow you to have a route on your mini map that you can follow, but they work very well if you add in the FarmHUD addon as well. These are the three addons I personally use for farming ore and herbs because they put it all right in your face and hard to miss which is good for those of us getting older eyes.
