It is allready tuesday here in Holland.. but still have to wait for another 20 hours.. can't wait for the new guides

Lots of things for a Tuesday. Zygor releasing new guides. iPhone 5 reveal. Rage gets released. Couple of other things too that I can't think of off the top of my head right now. Shoot just today I was informed by my boss at work that I have to take Friday's off until further notice. Too much Comp Time. So actually looks like a pretty good week.

You mean the time thing? No the county judge sucks. I work for the county I live in. New county judge got in on the last elections. Said everyone needs to have 100 hours or less of comp. I'm one of the highest at 220 something hours and the max is 240. Was already going to take 2 weeks around Thanksgiving. But that apparently isn't enough. Tried to talk my boss to let me have off a week around Christmas but no dice. So the Friday thing happened. Also to understand there is no overtime pay. All overtime goes to comp.

Not really. Unless somebody more senior wants time off you can take the time off anytime you want. They give you a lot of time anyway. 3 hours of sick time is added every pay period which is a two week pay period. I have around 100 hours of that. Every time October rolls around you get 2 personal days. The personal days don't carry over so you have to use them. So I got those now. For how long I've been here I get 2 weeks of vacation time every time my anniversary of being hired comes around. Have 2 weeks of that and I'll get my max of 4 weeks in decmember. So I have a lot of time.

Well, is overtime rolled over to comp time at time and a half? If not, that's the shady part I was talking about.

Nope not so bad. I usually get 6-8 hours of comp a month. I'm the guy that closes down the building an since I live the closest to it I'm the one that gets called in if something goes wrong which is usually once a month.

All that time also doesn't include all the holidays we get off. 15 holidays which translate into 18 days because of 2 days at thanksgiving 2 days Christmas this year and 2 days for new years because of the way the holidays fall this year.

I was meaning the Fridays off thing lol. Everywhere I've worked, that's never happened. Even if I had Friday off, I had to go in b/c someone else called in lol
